Dorothy Vase

Dorothy Vase

Dorothy Vase by South Australian-based artist Bindi Nimmo

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Bindi Nimmo is an emerging glass artist from Whanganui, Aotearoa, now based in Adelaide as a JamFactory Glass Associate. Her practice explores themes of human connection and nostalgia - drawing on the playful language of colour, pattern, and form to evoke a sense of wonder. Working primarily in blown glass, Bindi brings a softness to the medium, capturing fleeting feelings and personal stories in vibrant, tactile objects.

Guided by intuition and a love for the handmade, her work reflects a deep curiosity for material, process, and the quiet poetry of everyday life. Whether refining traditional forms or experimenting with surface and colour, Bindi seeks to create pieces that feel both familiar and otherworldly - vessels for feeling as much as for function
