ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Michelle Kelly is inspired by Mycology - the study of fungi. She is fascinated by this fifth kingdom that not only produces amazing forms and structures of a wide variety of species, but is also an important life force on this planet. Michelle's work is crafted using traditional silversmithing techniques, while experimenting with different materials, surface treatments and patination applications. Michelle completed a postgraduate diploma in jewellery production in 2004 from Curtin University in Western Australia, and now works from an Adelaide based studio.
