Vide Poche (small) in terracotta by South Australian artist Helen Fuller. 

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Helen Fuller’s career has seen her work across a multitude of disciplines, including painting, sculpture and installation. In recent years, the Adelaide-born artist has channelled her skills and talent into ceramics, producing hand-built terracotta vessels of exceptional styling. It makes sense to hear her describe this recent body of work as being “more about still life, as in a painted composition, rather than functional ceramic forms – 3D canvasses, perhaps.” She doesn’t glaze her vessels so their surface more closely resembles a matte 2D painting. Fuller’s work is held in a number of private and public collections throughout Australia.
