Her work plays with the accepted uses of domestic ceramics and historical art genres which observe a contemporary take on what ceramics are and what they can say. The medium of clay with its embedded transformative nature of strength and fragility becomes a metaphor for themes and debates of the everyday. Ideas of vulnerability and the unspoken are expressed through scale, intimacy and humour.
